Nechung Choktrul Rinpoche’s Spring 2019 Visit
Nechung Choktrul Rinpoche, the reincarnate lama of Nechung Monastery in Dharamsala, India & Lhasa, Tibet, and the head of Nechung Drayang Ling in
Hawai’i will return to the temple in March. During this visit, Choktrul Rinpoche will present several weekends of detailed teachings on Buddhist philosophy & practice. One day will focus on the “Basics of Buddhist Meditation” for beginners, with Q&A and discussion sessions. Rinpoche will also continue with the practices outlined in the 2nd part of the temple practice book. During his Fall, 2018 visit, he covered the 1st half of the book Refuge & Bodhicitta, Offerings, the meditation & mantra recitation of Shakyamuni Buddha, Manjushri, and Avalokitesvara. Join us!
Teachings will continue from the temple practice text, beginning with the Tara meditation & Praises of the 21 Taras. Tara symbolizes enlightened activity, her practice produces both ordinary & extraordinary accomplishments, helps eliminate obstacles and fulfills wishes & aspirations.
Course Fees: $75/day includes lunch/Weekends: $150 includes lunch. A limited number of rooms are available in the Temple Guest House, please inquire.

35 Confessional Buddhas, also call “Sutra of the 3 Heaps” (a) names of the 35 buddhas, b) declaration of non-virtue, c) rejoicing in goodness of oneself & others, is an important recitation for purification.
Auspicious & Long Life prayers for good fortune and longevity. Dedication verses to close a session by sharing the goodness & merit generated from one’s practice for the well–being and enlightenment of all.
